Maui’s oldest volcano is the West Maui mountains. All that remains of a once-huge volcano are these mountains. Called The Valley Isle due to this mountain range, West Maui receives approximately 500 inches of rainfall annually. The waterfalls are the awesome outcome of all this rainfall. Because it is inaccessible the area has remained untouched and it is truly one of the most spectacular areas you will ever see in your lifetime.
This would be another fine destination for your trip and molokai is only 9 miles from Maui. The difference in culture is apparent from the first moment you arrive in Molokai. This is a laid back, relaxed area which they say is ‘one of the best kept secrets in Hawaii’ and it is evident in the atmosphere and the beauty of the area. Another part of your helicopter trip should include the northeastern coast which is a very secluded area.
From the beaches below, the sea cliffs rise more than one thousand feet toward the sky, and are some of the tallest in the world. That region is inaccessible to human beings. Nothing beats seeing the view while in a helicopter. Over half the residents of Molokai are, themselves, unfamiliar with this area. This is a genuinely amazing region and you won't want to miss the experience of sightseeing in this part of Hawaii. Areas such as Easy Maui, Hana, West Maui, and Molokai are surely worth your time and effort so that you can see what the true Hawaii really looks like.
